about
"Would you like to buy a bag of coffee for the troops?"... was the question everyone working at one retailer was ordered to ask customers at the checkout counter.
Finding it hard to believe these bags of coffee made it to our current war zones, Mr New Yorker always thought this was nothing more than Profiteering off the War. The coffee was sold at regular retail prices, no discounts, no buy 1 get 1 free, just a layer of guilt at the checkout to people in making them think that our soldiers were oversea's, in the battlefield, with no coffee to drink.
It irked him enough to write the lyrics of this song years ago and finally was able to visit with Captain Slovenia during his Galaxy Tour and create 'Operation Latte'.
Fact: Soldiers did indeed receive bags of coffee while stationed in war zones and the company that was pushing the coffee onto it's customers is now bankrupt.

The Lyrics of the Song Go Something Like This.....
-> Stop the Tank Boys, Its Coffee Time <-
I'm in Iraq...
Don't know when I am going back....
But thats ok...
Cause I got my Latte
Smooth and Creamy....
Makes me Dreamy....
Dreaming of You....
You Better Be True
Fields of Sand....
Make up the Land....
But thats ok....
Cause in my hand I got my Latte
Smooth and Creamy....
Makes me Dreamy.....
You Better be true....
Yeah I'm Dreaming of you...........
